It's a..........!

That's right folks! A little GIRL!!
We were so so sure it was a boy.
So when that critical moment came,  and the technician announced,"It's a girl,"
Noor and I looked at each other and then back at the screen thinking,
"Are you sure??...Cause We are pretty sure it's a boy." Haha!

Noor was over the moon excited to have a little girl.
For me...it took a day of readjusting my attachment..it just felt so strange thinking that she was a boy...and now she's a girl! We went shopping that night, which made it more real.
We are so in love already!!

We announced the gender in a fun way to our families before announcing it to the world.
For my out of state siblings, I made 2 egg cartons filled with 2 eggs each. They were blown out and I stuffed pink confetti in one and blue confetti in the other (since we didn't know what we were having before I sent the packages and I would be too impatient to wait after we knew the news). Then, we Skyped with them while they cracked open the numbered egg that I specified. Everyone was so surprised! They all thought she was a boy too! It was so fun to be able to share the announcement with them even though they are far away.
For our parents, we bought a few Hershey bars and covered the brand name with paper...minus a little peek-a-boo chunk where the letters SHE could still be seen.

This little girl is the 4th of grandchild of my parents...all girls!
She is also the FIRST grandchild for Noor's parents and they are so thrilled.
It is amazing to see how much love there is for this little person and she has yet to take her first breath.

We feel blessed that she is ours.....
..and even more so...
we feel blessed and honored to be hers.

Married: ONE YEAR!

March 9th marked our 1 year anniversary!
It was a Saturday...(a perk to getting married on a Friday)
..but we began our celebration on Friday evening.

Since I was nannying at the time, it meant that we couldn't get headed to our "stay-cation" until about 7pm. We packed our bags (and a cooler full of delicious treats and snacks) and headed to Scottsdale. We had a free night in an upgraded room from our Marriott rewards! It was a perfect time to use it!

We grabbed some Jimmy Johns sandwiches (it is one of my FAVORITE places to eat) and we brought our dinner back to the room. We then completed the meal with copious amounts of cookies and some sparkling cider. It was a perfectly romantic and relaxing dinner date.

The next day, we slept in. Oh how joyous that felt after waking up at 5 am every day to nanny. By the time we got up and ready for the day we were dying for some lunch (apparently..cookies for breakfast doesn't hold off hunger very long). We, of course, went to In-N-Out. Another one of our favorite spots.

We shopped in Scottsdale and then headed to our side of town to make plans for dinner. We ended up eating at The Elephant Bar because there was a good deal on a 2 person meal. We had never been there before so it was something new for the both of us.  The dessert was our favorite part. :)

The food was pretty good..I'm not sure we'll RUSH back there to eat..but we enjoyed it.
The company, however.... was great. <3

I cannot believe that it has been a whole year already! It seemed like we were at 5 months just last week...then the holidays hit...then we moved...and BAM! Here we are!
I am blessed to be married to such a sweet and patient man.
He knows just what I need and is ready and willing to fill any need that arises.
He is such an amazing provider for our family and I am so grateful that he works so hard for us.

Happy Anniversary, Noor Sabbah.
I am excited to see what adventures await us in-between every anniversary we share
from now until eternity.
